Tuition for Four Parish Members

Four Parish Members(St. Michaels, Sigel; Sacred Heart, Lillyville; St. Mary, Green Creek; St. Mary, Neoga) and non-parishioners prior to 2015-2016 school year.Tuition is based on number of children attending St. Michael School this school year.

  • 1 child attending St. Michael School this year, tuition is $1,650.00

  • 2 children attending St. Michael School this year, tuition is $2,550.00

  • 3+ children attending St. Michael School this year, $3,450.00.

Book Fees are $275.00 per child payable at the beginning of the school year.                                   

Tuition For Non-Parishioners

  • 1 child attending St. Michael School this year, tuition is $3,300.00

  • 2 children attending St. Michael school this year, tuition is $5,100.00

  • 3 or more children attending St. Michael School this year, tuition is $6,900.00

  • 4+ child tuition is additional $500 each

Book Fees are $300.00 per child payable at the beginning of the school year.

Fee Payment

  • BOOK FEES of $300.00 per student to be paid before the 1st of September.

  • TUITION to be paid before May 1st in one of the three following options.

    • Option 1 – Payment of the entire tuition may be made at one time before August 15.

    • Option 2 – Payment may be made in two equal parts: the first payment before August 15 and the final payment before January 1.

    • Option 3 – Payments may be made over a 10 months period with the first payment due before August 15th and the final payment being made before May 1st.

Payment is to be made at St. Michael Church (@  PO Box 68, Sigel, IL 62462).Checks should be made to St. Michael School but sent to St. Michael Church.  If you have any questions in regards to book fees or tuition, please call the parish office. All fees shall be made in full by May 1st of the school year. Please do not include this payment with lunch money or any other school fees. A late fee of $10.00 will be added for each month payment is past due.

Review of Compliance with Fee Payment Policy

  • Compliance with these policies will be monitored by the School Board.

  • If Payments are not made as agreed, parents have an obligation to contact either the Principal or Pastor. Every effort is made to assist families experiencing financial hardships. If families choose not to contact the Principal or Pastor and persist in the delinquency of their payments and no resolution can be made, the school will be forced to implement the following policies:

    • The student(s) will be denied re-enrollment for the following quarter.

    • Report cards and other pertinent records will be withheld until the past due tuition has been paid in full.

    • Failure to comply with these policies will be excused only in case of extreme hardships as determined by the Principal and Pastor. In such cases of extreme hardship, alternative methods of payment through the performance of in kind services for the school or parish will be considered. Families who leave the school with outstanding fees may be referred to a collection agency if arrangements for payments have not been made with the school.

Parents/Guardians who are facing financial hardships, who believe their circumstances need consideration, must take the responsibility of contacting the Principal or Pastor.

All proceedings, deliberations and decisions under these policies by the Principal and Pastor will be held in the strictest of confidence.

The policy of St. Michael the Archangel School is to provide to its students the finest education services available, in a Catholic Christian environment, including a variety of special educational, remedial, and extracurricular activities and services.
 
No child of an active, practicing Catholic will be denied a Catholic Education due to financial hardships…No one will be turned away from St. Michael’s for financial reasons!
 
Do not let a financial difficulty keep your children from attending St. Michael School.  There are options to help financially.  The Diocese of Springfield offers a tuition assistance program generated from the “Harvest of Thanks, Springtime of Hope Endowment.”  We also have a few parish scholarships available to help with the cost of tuition. Please do not hesitate to ask for assistance. We do not know your present financial status. If you are experiencing financial difficulty, please call the Parish Office and special arrangements can be worked out.

The Diocese of Springfield offers a tuition assistance program generated from the “Harvest of Thanks, Springtime of Hope Endowment.”There are some guidelines set up by the diocese. All information is kept very confidential. The form is very simple and takes less than 5 minutes to fill out. If you wish to apply fill out the form below and return to the parish office by August 1st.  The award to each applicant is determined by the St. Michael School Principal & Pastor.
